Pretty sure they would not be CA noise legal.

They are at least as loud as Stingers, which aren'l legal.

But people run them anyway.

My Pype Bombs were too loud so I added a couple mid pipe resonators.

The guys at work yesterday were just telling me how good they thought my car sounds. And the day before yesterday, my retired neighbor said he hears me start the car in the morning when I go to work. I asked him if it was too loud for him. He said, "No, it sounds great! You can tell that car is really kept in tune."

If the car is licensed/registered in Colorado and passes CO emissions, and I just spend 8 months a year in San Diego for school, does it have to be CA compliant? and how vicious is the enforcement?

I believe that officially the CA drive by noise level threshold is 95db at 5' for idle. Good luck convincing a LEO that you are in compliance when he has it out for you though, they don't care much for the law when it doesn't suit them.

Keep your car sounding like a soccer mom's car and be a good boy.

in Cali. it doesnt matter what you have haha all that really matters is the cops themselves. 95%of the time the city PD's cops wont give a crap. but the CHP will put more effort to "screw" with you. i have a loud sound system, exhaust, and window tint. and i have been around many PD cops. but CHP pulled me over for window tint, so i say go with it... juss my 2cents lol :P
