I'm in the same position as you, OP.
After driving a turbo car for a little over a month I am def going for a 5.4 swap in a few years when my warranty runs out.
FI is awesome, but with out solid HP number under that system its just not quite enough.
It feels like you have no HP, then all of a sudden the power comes up once you get into the power band.
I'm not knocking an FI cars on here, you guys have some bad *** cars.

See thats the reason why i wanted to do the swap was cause of the v8 cause i would love to have the roar of a 8, and then upgrade to even more horsepower after that.

I see what you are saying but you also have to consider you're driving a FWD Turbo 4 cylinder around so its going to feel different between cars...

If you go V8, don't bother with the 4.6 3V.
Get the 4V Navigator or better. Make it count!

Easier said then done! I'd rather do a 3V personally since its pretty much plug and play, also I'd stroke it out to a 5.0 (my future plans).

I think, I'm gonna go with the more expensive route and continue my search for a condor. It would be the same type of plug and play just much more $$$

I complete see what your saying.
I'm sure the 4.0 feels much better than a 2.0 4 cyl with a turbo or supercharger.

You have a point but since I'm a custom builder, I like a challenge.

honestly... just buy a 05 GT and start off on a better platform from the factory... swaps like this always have quirks.

Its always easy for someone to say "Just buy a GT", there are many reasons why someone may not want to just "Buy a GT". What if your car is paid off? Why would you want to get another car payment when you can swap it for a couple thousand? Also lots of people's cars have sentimental value or may already have things done to their car, why start over?
