gt h pipe on v6 dual conversion questions

So only lately i learned that a gt h pipe can fit on the v6 mustang. does this connect at the end of the cats or what? What exhaust am i looking for when i make my purchase to an h pipe? Will i have to remove my v6 mid pipe? I'm not quite clear on this. Thanks and sorry for the repetative exhaust questions.

You cut the Y pipe out, after making sure that you properly mark where the H will be spliced in its place. You can either weld the H pipe or use a set of band clamps that go from 2.25" to 2.5". The down tubes from the cats will be 2.25" and slip inside the H pipe ends.

The mid pipes are the same for V6 and GT, both will be 2.5". You will need a driver side mid pipe, but the passenger side is the same for both versions.

I bought a full GT take off system on craigslist for $75. That should get you started and just have a local shop weld the mid pipe for you.
