Default New, need advice buying 2007 used v6 mustang.

Im new here and have no idea where this should be so I put it in the new people one. I am looking at mustangs and I am in discussions with two dealers the one I am leaning towards is a 2007 v6 automatic with 84,000 miles. It is blue with silver racing stripes. They are asking for $13,995. I hope to pay no more than 10k and I am trading in my explorer which I hope to get 3-4k for. Do you think that is too high? I have not had a mustang before so any and all help is very appreciated!

What do you think a good deal for an 07 would be?

I payed 10,500 for my 07 V6 Auto stang with only 48,000 miles on it. Although that was a pretty good deal i still wouldnt take that offer, too pricey for that mileage

Way too high. I got my 06 with 31K miles for 12500 last May.

Welcome to the site!
You can find a far better price for less miles. Take your time, do your research.

Let's put it this way, I bought my 06 GT for 15,000. With 48k, keep looking.

Check the carpet at the passenger side kick panel for any moisture. Using a blue shop paper towel is a good way to tell. Having a leak free pony is just as important as getting a good deal in my opinion

2 years ago I paid $13.5k for an '06 V6 Pony Package with only 9600 miles, mint condition. You can do better.

As far as the water leak issue, you need to become familiar with ALL of the TSB's associated with our S197's. The water leak, however, can be the most serious.
