2011 Premium interior Aux/USB problem
Hi folks,
So, as the title says, I have a 2011 V6 with the premium interior, including the Shaker 500 sound system, Sync, and an Aux cable and USB port in the center storage area. Yesterday morning I drove to work and both worked fine, as I had my iPod hooked up and playing through the stereo, and my phone charging on the USB hookup. However, when I got back in the car not even an hour later, both had stopped working.
Whenever I press the Aux button the stereo attempts to switch to the aux mode and shows the Sync screen for about a half second, then switches over to my radio, regardless of what mode the stereo was in previously. I've tried this various times with my iPod plugged in and not, I've tried turning the power to the radio itself off and on several times, and of course have turned the car on and off several times.
My USB charger does not work either, which leads me to think that the whole setup is not getting power. I did replace the fuse that controls the Aux and USB systems almost a month ago because someone else had pulled that fuse out previously, thinking it was a spare. However, I used one of the spares provided in the box and ensured it was the right type. My first thought would be that the fuse has blown, but I'm unable to check it just yet, so I figured I'd see if anyone else has had this problem or knows of a solution.
Thanks. Glad I found this forum!
