Default Deliberating T3650 Swap...

Hello Gents

So despite running amsoil, my T5 has continued to grind at times albeit less frequent and severely. Im just straight unhappy with the entire driveline. SO
ive decided that for my next mod project im going to rebuild the entire drivetrain after the engine. Id use the SVT 3.73 rear off AM (Cant find any takeoffs anymoar ) an aluminum driveshaft from Shaftmasters, and a SPEC clutch. Questions being-

1. What clutch and flywheel would I want to use?
2. Where can I get a T3650 Tranny? OBVI there are takeoffs on Ebay but im leary of that.
3. What other parts would I need to complete the installaion of the T3650? Im going to assume the shifter so Id prolly go to a MGW or Hurst

And, of course, if anyone has had a problem with any of these parts or ideas please do speak up. Id rather look like an idiot here than spend a ton of $$$ on the wrong parts

You will want and need the stock flywheel. As far as a clutch you will still use the V6 flywheel and I recommend a Spec 3+. You will need the tr3650 adapter plate that Nice Pony on Mustang Collective and here sells. The custom pilot bearing that comes with the adapter plate is made to fit the stock flywheel. Yes you will need a shifter as well and the linkage if the transmission does not come with it. You will also need a GT driveshaft or shorten an aluminum one if you have one.

I am, but I am leaving for a semester abroad in London later today and my baby is holed up in a storage unit for 3 months IDK if I can handle the withdrawal

So Im planning a round of mods thats 3 months away

FWIW, I believe my dads Saleen S281 SC putting out 465 HP at the flywheel uses the T3650- and that says alot, because if the 3650 can handle that power w/o grinding, then it should be able to handle an Xcharged V6 no probs

tr3650 handles a lot of power, but its rated in torque. It withstands turbo cars in the 500rwtq range too....

+1, its also pretty much your only choice unless you are going to design your own lol!
