a little pool has collected...
maybe this is a question for a body man?
my 2010 convertible has a sloshing pool of water that collects just behind the drivers seat, INSIDE the body, in front of the wheel and behind the door jam. think about that spot...it's just under the little quarter rear window. it sloshes around until it drains out, usually taking a couple of days to drain out. wherever i park the car for those couple of days after a rain, you can see small puddles under the car, so it is draining out, however slowly. there is no water/wet spots inside the car whatsoever.
my guess is that there is supposed to be drain holes in the body along the rocker panels, just in front of the rear wheels, to naturally drain out the water that gets into the inner body panels do to rain/weather. perhaps those drain holes are clogged?

This may sound dumb but are you sure its not your gas tank sloshing around you are hearing? Because they are right where you are describing.

Look for small drain holes most likely in the pinch welds. I had a Sebring that had the exact same problem. Turns out there were a few areas in the pinch welds that were not clamped shut, for drainage. They got clogged with small leaves and tree stuff and caused that problem. I went in with a screw driver and bent them open a little more, problem solved!
