You get the entire assembly - not just the differential. The 8.8 diff carrier obviously won't fit in the 7.5 rear end assembly. Plus the 7.5 uses a 28 spline axle compared to the 8.8 with 31 spline axles.

So it is the entire assembly from rotor to rotor (well, usually the rotors themselves aren't on them and you swap your rotors over - the rear brakes are exactly the same between the V6 and V8).

Another vote for dropping the 7.5 POS and getting an 8.8 posi with 4.10s. All the difference in the world, man. Building up a 7.5, like has been said, it just a waste of time and money.
