That's a cool idea with the stripes, I didn't think about that. I was thinking about when I paint my valve covers of doing the same thing I did with the MUSTANG on the plenum but with ford racing logo.

If you could find a running pony from a front grill, you could actually duplicate the logo.

Ford Racing stickers would look good on the valve covers.

and how did your removal/intall of the valve covers go? I've took a look at TacoBill's write up for the GT and was figuring its along the same lines.

As long as you take your time, and mark all bolts etc. It is fairly straight forward. However, I have heard it is a little harder with the 4.0.

You can search this section, someone made a thread on painting the 4.0 covers.

I love the cheap (free) little mods. I actually removed my radiator cover sticker, sanded down my radiator cover, painted it black, and then cut out the letters "MUSTANG" and mounted them on it. That and the running pony (also cut out) on a painted silver fuse box make the engine bay look so much more interesting and I cost only some of my time.
