Default Installing a vent gauge pod

I've got two vent gauge pods that the guy who sold me my x gave to me along with the aeroforce interceptor. I plan on using the vent pod right now but only temporary as I don't like the idea of blocking my a/c in the summertime. How do I pull out the vent? And how do I run the cord to my obd2 from the vent?

To pull out the vent, open it to max flow, place your fingers inside the vent, and push outward on the insides of the vent while pulling back towards you. If that is as confusing to you as it is to me, put your fingers in the vent and use the inside barrel of it as grip, and pull towards you. Don't really worry about breaking them, I've taken mine out many times and the clips seem to be doing just fine. I don't know about the cord so maybe someone else can fill you in on that part.

Just pull straight back as was said, it is easy. To put the Roush part in though be careful bending the tabs on the trim ring, easy pressure and the ring will come off.

You may have to cut an opening to get the cord in place.

I have the Roush pods in my car and it isn't any problem with heat or ac - it blows around the gauges, you just can't direct the air or close them off.

Thanks I got it installed.
Jim do you know of any good places to do the full install of my auto meter? Like name brand places that do that sort of thing? I read the instructions and I'm too impatient to go through all that Lol

Can't help you with a place - not very familiar with Minnesota!

Are you talking about the wideband? You could get it done at a performance shop near you. It really isn't that tough though, once you get the bung welded in place.

Yeah the a/f looks like a pita

Also how much is a new bung if I get a different exhaust setup? I plan on getting an off road setup eventually and I assume since it's welded in there that it can't be re used..?

You can get the bungs off ebay for a few bucks, shipped.
Spend a few more cents and get the stainless ones.

Why are you going to an off road set up? Deleting the cats is not a good idea. Everyone I know who deleted the cats regretted the sound afterwards and didn't get any performance gain by doing it.
