Default need help on a new trans

Ok i have been posting alot here lately but seems like im running into non stop problems... i was racing today against a 400whp supra and started out doing really good cause i was right next to him until i hit 3rd, the second i hit 3rd and popped the clutch BOOM, there goes 3rd and i drove home with all sorts of racket going on and no 3rd... almost cried even though i know he would have pulled me after he spooled in 3rd.

So im looking for a good upgrade for a decent price like the tko 5 or 600... would like the t56 but they all look to be a grand more then the tko... i know i dont need a t56 but 6 spd would be nice. anyways the cheapest tko i found was 1800 but i want it a little cheaper. i would settle for a used tko with a 6 month warranty or whatever but idk where to find it. Any input would be nice for this cause im kinda on a tight budget and this is the 2nd t5 in 2 months that i broke 3rd in. thanks

You could get a TR-3650 ($500-$1000) out of a '05-'09 GT with an adapter plate ($700) and a new driveshaft to fit the new transmission.

Or a TR-6060 out of a GT500 (6 speed, but its around $1000-$1500). I haven't heard of thee transmissions that you listed, but that doesn't mean a whole lot.

+1 there ya go Tanner, you're learning!

Adapter plates are available for the tr6060 and tr3650 swap... As far as the others go, good luck with making those work a lot of fabrication will have to be done. You won't need anymore then the the tr3650, which is also the one I have.
