7.5 --> 8.8 rear end conversion

Well as it turns out i found a good deal locally on a 8.8" out of a 2006 GT. Im planning on picking it up and installing it myself.

What are all the necessary adaptors, nuts, etc..?

I know I need the cobra pinion flange.

looking forward to this swap!

It's really a simple swap. Other than the flange you have all the parts on the car already.
Take off the wheels and brakes. (don't let the calipers hang by their lines)
Unbolt everything and keep track of the bolts. Replace with new axle and put all the bolts back.

There are some great write ups on the forum, but it really is a strait forward swap.

It really helps to have extra jack stands and jacks. You will need to support the car's frame and the axle separately.
It's a great mod good luck.
