Default Pypes True Dual Pipe Problem

Hey guy I was just wondering if this support bracket that is welded before the X pipe is flawed. My V6 only has 37000 miles on her and one of the metal brackets attached to the X pipe came off, leaving a wonderful hole in my exhaust now. Do we even need these on there? I feel that the tension from the engine moving is what caused too much stress on the welded piece. When I go to the muffle shop tomorrow should I tell them to cut the other one off to prevent it from happening on that side? Advice is much welcomed. Thank you in advance!

The hangers are not needed(tsb), doesn't surprise me that the Pypes company couldn't figure it out, they can't even match their pipes to the bends of the stock exhaust pipes.
Yes I'm a bitter unsatisfied customer!

Same thing happened on my Pype Bombs. The welds look decent they but use cheap thin metal for their parts.

They did replace under warranty at least. I had to pay shipping though.

So I take it I should avoid pypes should I do a dual exhaust conversion? Just curious what you guys would recommend in place of that system?

Sorry for threadjack OP, just curious on some buyer opinions. =D

Just clamp it up and you should be fine. May feel some exhaust vibration though. Pypes is been having some issues with these mid pipes. Mine broke within 2 years and 15k miles. I complaint about how my buddie's mid pipe broke as well. So I just gave it to the junk guy who comes and gave me 2 bucks which that's how much they are really worth. Don't waste your money on Pypes, they lack of material. I have kooks for 3 years and still shinning. :P

You can't go wrong with an OEM GT H-Pipe.
