Default 3.31 gear an option without v6 performance pack

Is the 3.31 gear an option on a 2013 v6 premium without the v6 performance package? I know you can get the 3.73 on the base GT as an option.
Drove a premium 2012 v6 with the manual and the 3.31 gear and it was impressive and loaded. I also drove a base GT. The loaded v6 was nice! It handled great and had more get up and go than I expected from a v6. The GT is a bad ****.
I'm 46 and it would be my first mustang. It would be a daily driver, 45 minutes to an hour in Chicago area traffic to work each way. I have the x-plan and would order the car. I was 80/20 on the GT, I think I'm about 60/40 on the v6 now!
My build would be
V6 premium manual in GHIG
Mustang club of America
performance package(or just the 3.31 gear)
or
Base GT manual in GHIG with the 3.73

The 3.31 gears are no longer available as a stand-alone option in the US like they were in 2011-2012. You can only get 3.31 gears from the factory with the V-6 Performance Package now.

Lots of folks are upgrading to 3.73 gears anyways, so if you don't mind the extra work/expense you might want to go that route. Keep in mind that some dealerships may refuse warranty work if you do the rear gear upgrade yourself.

If money (and fuel) are not a concern then get the GT with an automatic trans. I have the V6 with Perf Pkg and a manual but it is not my daily driver so I got the manual because it is more fun to drive. I have been stuck in traffic with a manual before (I had an SVT Focus w/6 speed manual back in 2004) and it is no fun with daily stop and go.

If you want to save $$$ over the long haul, get the V6 with automatic and the 2.73 gear and the gas will stay in the tank the longest of any Mustang. The Perf Pkg and gears eat up more gas. Again if cost is not an issue the Auto V8 with standard gearing is the best compromise.

I don't believe that's true. I took delivery of my black 2013 V6 Base 6 speed manual this afternoon and the only option was the $395.00 3.31 Ratio Limited Slip Axle.

Here's a link to an identical car from the same dealership: http://www.gabusford.com/2013-Ford-M...IA/vd/10549255

You can see the window sticker just like mine showing the 3.31 as a stand alone.

That's great. That gives me more options. I like the rims that come on the Mustang club pack better. I'm also thinking a base with recaros and the 3.31. The premium was sweet with the leather and the shaker. I got the book from the dealer which lists the features on each model and shows what is available for options. There is a lot more than just the stereo and leather.
It was on the windows sticker as a stand alone.

The base v6 with the 3.31 is a serious value! With the X plan and incentives I would be looking at around 22K.

I was out the door at $20,395.00 after rebates and not including TTL and fees. Traded my 2006 V6 Premium with 68,800 miles, horrible shifting 5- speed manual with deteriorating clutch and slave cylinder for $11,395.00. A no-brainer if there ever was one.

The 2013 is superior in every way. I only wish I still had a Shaker 500 (I miss the subs) and the power driver's seat. But I can't complain about the bang for the buck that I got.

The X plan is a discount through my work, I work at the RR. It drops the price about $1500 on a v6 premium, to about $20500 with $1000 cash back.

I like the Shaker stereo! I'm shooting for the premium V6 with the 3.31 gear and Mustang Club pack. I would not be disappointed in the base with the manual and the 3.31 if that is the route I went.

You're right. I checked that car's VIN in the Ford Online window sticker viewer and it looks like a factory option. I was going by the Ford 2013 order guide, which says the 3.31 is only available with the Performance Package:
