Need Winter Tires... Which ones Best Survey?

Winter is coming and I need some new tires for my pony. Currently the stock BFG are horrible in rain, and I can't imagine how they must be in snow/slush.

I am looking for a tire that is a Winter Performance tire and that I could probably use year round, but will grip the road in more than just an inch of rain... Any recommendations on some best picks for tires?

Try tirerack.com they have a bunch of info on all sorts of tires, along with customer reviews and ratings of winter tires, I am sure that you could find a winter tire you like, with competative pricing.

I am thinking the same thing. Are you going to ride with your current rims or store them?

Try the Goodyear Assurance Tripletreads...I have them on my PT Cruiser and ran them in a Buffalo, NY winter...outstanding and they are great in wet weather as well. They are a nice compromise.

Good luck in your quest!

BFGoodrich 33x12.50s radial Mud terrains with bead lock rims and a 4-6 inch suspension lift. Your stang will leave Vettes and vipers setting all day long. On a more serious note, last year I bought 4 Bridgestone Blizzak tires and 4 wheels from tire rack for my wife's RWD sport utility and they made a huge difference. It gets pretty costly changing from summer to winter and back to summer tires every year, plus you are prone to have nasty scratches on the wheels from mechanics changing you tires aroung twice a year. I think you would be better off to also buy a set of wheels for about $500-600 for your winter tires.
