Proper placement of Floor Jack

Default Proper placement of Floor Jack

I have never used a floor jack on a Mustang before, where would I put the lift mechanism under the front of the vehicle to lift the car so I may put the Jack stands where I would normally lift the vehicle with the cars jack.

I know sounds like a dumb question, but I have always worked on trucks I have owned.

Assuming you haven't changed anything, then you can use the K member to lift the front.

Um, try the 'frame' members right behind the wheels.

I made an adapter for the top of my jack that
fits into a hole on the above mentioned area.
I would avoid the cross member as it is not as
stout as an old pick-up cross member...


Here is a pic of the Ford recommended points.
Notice how the rear end pumpkin is not shown
as valid jacking point.
