Default too much traction??

2013 3.7 V6 6speed auto
stupid question but I was wondering why I cant get any tire spin? I've tried with it in Drive, Sport shift mode and in manual mode. I have a SCT Tune on the car too. I DO have 295s (11.6 wide) and they are the Nitto NT 555.
Car takes off well but doesnt do much spinning & I had seen videos of the 3.7 tire roasts. Just curious. Thanks

Take the traction control off, you will more than likely need to power brake it also.
My 2013 does not have a traction problem, it grips and goes, you will never (or hardly ever) win a race spinning your tires.
Plus the fact you have a tire almost 2 inches wider than the stock tire does not help, and the Nitto's are more a drag tire anyways, to prevent spinning.

Add to that you have to have 10" or wider wheels to properly fit those 295's which means even more rotational mass (both tire & wheel). You don't state the complete tire size so is it possible that you're running a bigger than stock tire O.D. which would be sapping even more power.

What tune are you running? The 2013 tune for the automatic requires an adjustment to allow a burn out. If it that modification isn't made it won't let you get above 2,000 rpm foot braking the car. On the 87 and 93 street tunes that Bama sent me it acts like the stock tune. But the 93 race tune from Bama and Doug, along with Doug's 93 street tuned I can spin the tires.

jesus 295s for a v6, I would hope you'd have difficulty roasting the tires lol

as previously mentioned, you can roast tires in just about any automatic car by powerbraking it.

Another problem is the 3.7 makes little power below 3000 rpm and with those tires.......
My 2011 with stock tires and tune rarely will spin at all but will run 13.7 sec 1/4 mile times.
