Glad you got this thread started. I'm gonna be getting a CAI and tunes soon too. Can't wait to feel a little improvement over stock.

I can't wait to try 93 race tune. But this weather is so crappy, I have hardly driven car since installed CAI and tune a few weeks ago.

I usually recommend a good, "spirited" drive immediately before the CAI & tune install and then repeating that drive with the 87 tune, then the next higher tune followed by the highest octane tune. That way you get a true feel for the "personality" of each tune.

You might hear a sucking sound at WOT but that might be you, not the CAI.

I still have a 3/4 tank of 87 octane left. Next up will be 89 performance then 93 race just like Nuke suggested....... when this damn weather gets better........
would I only hear sucking sound at WOT? haven't been able to do that yet.

WOT is when you'd EXPECT to hear anything since that's when the engine is... sucking.... the most air. Some folks claim they hear... sucking... at less than WOT. I think you'll be so focused on feeling the added power that you won't pay attention to.. sucking.

Hi folks, just joined and looking for some input on a problem I believe is related to my Air Raid CAI and BAMA tuner. I'm occasionally hearing some kind of engine knock/rattle which started after installing both items. It usually occurs when giving gas at low speed, i.e. driving up a hill at 20 mph, but can also occur when accelerating normally from a stop or low speed on level. It is more frequent on the 87P tune, less on the 87S tune, very rare on the 93R tune, and extremely rare when on stock. I have not put the stock intake back on to see if that totally eliminates the problem. I have contacted the folks at BAMA and they even had me send a data capture but ultimately found no problem. Any suggestions? I have noticed my car has an aversion to downshifting so I tend to be in higher gears and low rpm when driving slow, had the dealer look at it, may take it back again. Thanks for your input.

This will work if you give it a 150 or so miles for the Adaptive Learning
that was reset when the tune was loaded to re-adapt.
Then you can compare the stock to the 91 to the 93 tune.
But not before letting the Adaptive Learning relearn itself...
Personalities take time to formulate.

The differences between tunes is still apparent from upload to upload.
