new to forums, new to mustangs NEED HELP
just recently bought a standard 2007 Mustang V6 with 90K miles so hey! also I need some help trying figure out some problems.
yesterday on my way home smoke started coming out of the hood. popped the hood, there's this sort of thick liquid splattered everywhere. the engine coolant light was on, the temp gauge was all the way at H. this morning I started the car just to check it out and it's squeaking but the temp is now all the way at C and no engine coolant light. what should I do?

+1 on what the other two said. Check your coolant, cap, radiator, and all the hoses to and from the water pump. Make sure the clamps are tight but haven't cut into the hoses or anything. Good Luck, and congrats on the new ride!

Welcome.
#1 I agree with everything above and also the squeking could be coming from the water pump pulley bearings going out. This would cause the leak and overheating. Good luck. Make sure to add coolant before you run it much more.

okay so I filled up coolant, it had none at all from what I saw when I opened it up..
the little squeal/ bird chirping under my hood is now my problem. I don't know much about engine work at all and I have no idea what to check exactly or what I'm looking at. help

So you don't know where the chirping is coming from? It's more than likely your water pump considering the coolant everywhere. If you don't really know what you're doing, I'd get it checked out to make sure before you go dropping money on stuff. I've learned the hardway. But if you figure out it's your pump and want to replace it, we can help you step by step. Or I can at least. lol
There wasn't a leak in any of the hoses or anything?
