Question About Gt Grille Conversion kits
I just have a quick question. How reliable are the people who do the conversion kits for the GT to V6 grille?

I plan on getting it and I just want some feedback before I do the purchase.
Thanks,
Gabe

RE: Question About Gt Grille Conversion kits
I say it looks good, my only problem is that the price seems a little high. My advice is to spend the money on a few mods and in a year or so after the new mustang craze has died down buy the kit, because by that time it should be a little cheaper.

It is a bit pricey, but the parts from the ford dealership are a lot pricier. $110.00 for the grill, $120.00 for each light assembly, that's $350.00 at the dealership near my house, and thats without the wiring.

RE: Question About Gt Grille Conversion kits
I got that kit. Works really good, comes complete with the harness and switch and everything you need. The instructions tell you how to make it fit in a V6 bumper. You have to make some small cuts in your bumper, so be ready for this! That's the only way to make it fit correctly. It didn't bother me because otherwise you have to buy a GT bumper and change that out as well. There are other options though: Street Scene now makes a GT style grill that fits without modification. Only thing is, it's more money, the harness is extra and it doesn't have the pony emblem. Or, you could get a 2006 pony package grill. They are also more money(I think!) and are ugly(IMO). Here's mine with the T2 grill mod:

RE: Question About Gt Grille Conversion kits
I had the west coast performance parts kit before a parking attendant at my building messed up my bumper, I then took the money they gave me and did a bumper swap out. I ended up doing a bumper swap out from Casco. I bought the kit that included bumpers, side skirts and GT tires/wheels. But if you don't want to go through all that trouble I suggest the SS grille.

RE: Question About Gt Grille Conversion kits
yea thanks everyone.... street scene has like 4 different ones listed and it doesnt seem to have the Silver Pony in the middle of the grille.... anybody know which one specifically to get... and they r all precut so I do not need to make any modifications???

RE: Question About Gt Grille Conversion kits
Be careful when selecting a grille from street scene, I think some of those are for GT bumpers, not V6 bumpers. I think you have two to choose from on the 6. As for the logo, you should be able to get it from the internet.
