Default 2007 4.0 BBK 70 mm Throttle Body Help!

Hello i installed a 70 mm throttle body on my stang, and no check engine lights came on. The only problem is it starts with high RPM's 2000 then will go to 900. when it used to go to 750. Also while in drive it gains RPM's while my foot is off the gas. and it wouldnt drop down to slowly drive itself. The TPS Is exact with the orginal, 1.34. Please help!!!

Lots of threads regarding issues with the BBK on 2005-10 V6's. All say about the same as you as to what is happening.

I don't have time right now to search, but the general consensus is that the BBK is more problem than it is worth, most people end up taking it off because of the problems that you have already found, and find someone else to unload it on.

Replace the stock TB and return the aftermarket. You won't get any gains from it anyway unless you intend to go FI or any other significant intak AND internal AND exhaust work. The BBK's seem to be more problematic than most others. Regardless, it's a useless mod unless your butt dyno is calibrated for the placebo effect.

Exactly. Why did you buy the TB to begin with?
Do your research on here or other forums. All kinds of tried-and-true things have been paid for by others, along with plenty of flops. No need to experiment to try to increase power that way.

I fixed the TB and took a little time off my 0-60. I lowered the TPs and it was fine.

Remove and replace with the OEM unit.
Throw the BBK TB in the trash...
Problem solved...

SEARCH BBK TB problems...
