Default Picked up some upgrades for the '09 V6. Any tips?

So the accessory bug hit me and we all know that STOCK stuff SUCKS. So...

I picked up the following:

K&N typhoon cold air kit
Dynomax true dual exhaust kit
Fireflyz LED interior upgrade kit
OEM fog light switch (no wiring just yet)
GT fog light grille.
4 JBL 6x8 replacement speakers
Had a pioneer double din DVD in it when I got it.

So questions are:

1 when I install the intake / exhaust is there anything I should know before I do?

2 Will I require the sct tuner for the CEL not to come on?
A. If so; is there a forum discount I should use to purchase one?
B. what company - (bama/Steeda/???) has the best deal / tune?

I use the car as a daily driver, and being half Finnish I have the road race / rally cross gene in me. I have a fast car for straight line.

Sorry if these questions have been asked before. My Google fu has turned up conflicting reports.

If you don't have a custom tune for the CAI, then don't expect much, if any, performance gain; barely 3 or 4 RWHP. WITH a good custom tune; about 15-20 RWHP on the 4.0L. Also, some no-tune-required CAI's will still throw a code for running lean. The only "fix" would be a different CAI, go back to stock or get a tune. Get a tune, IMO. You'll have to shop around. You can't go wrong with either Brenspeed or AM/Bama.

Awesome! It sounds like you have a great list of mods so far. You can probably get away without a tune for your current set up. However, the most beneficial gains will definitely be with a custom tune!

We do have a 6% MustangForums exclusive discount that you can use on all future orders with us. I just shot you a PM with the discount code included!

As far as the tune goes, you really can't go wrong with either of the companies you listed. However, here is a little bit about how we write our Bama custom tunes!

We send out thousands of tunes and build them all from the ground up for your PCM code and your mods. They're not just "canned" tunes, they're built custom by our team, so every once in a while it's possible we mess one up! We'll definitely get it straightened out for you, though! Give one of our Bama Tuning Specialists a call and they'll work with you to figure out exactly what's going on. We also offer free tunes for life. Anytime you add a new modification, want to try a new tune, need some revisions, or just want to try a different option out, feel free to hit up the Bama team and they'll gladly hook you up! We can get a new tune written and emailed over, quickly.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Thanks for the discount code. I was curious - any preference for the sct over the diablosport touch screen for tuning/logging? I do plan on putting either a pro charger or x charger within the next few months.

I picked up the Bama diablo sport in tune setup. Hoping this will help me tap into what upgrades I have installed. Now I'm curious if the 70mm BBK throttle body will add on to what I've already installed or if there's something else I could do? I really want to keep the 3.55:1 rear ratio so that's out.

From what i've read through the forums, the BBK TB is basically a waste. They cause too much trouble than what they are worth. Not to mention, if you aren't F/I, it won't do anything for you.

As for the rear ratio, I believe you have 3.31, unless you've changed them. I could be totally wrong on that, I just thought all of the sixxers came with 3.31.
