That would be ideal if they are requiring TPMS sensors now. Its a great feature but more specific information would be great. Would at least be cool if the GT's or premiums had that feature.

The sensors must match the receiver on the vehicle. FoMoCo OEM sensors were mounted on a band around the rim. You can get replacements mounted to the valve stems. I think those are available with compatible transmitters. The sensors have a battery similar to the key fob so they will only last 5-8 years. Rock Auto lists both styles.

The 05-09s used the OEM band sensors.
The 2010-14s use the OEM valve mounted sensor.
The two are not interchangeable whatsoever.

Put your old 05-09 band mounted TPMS sensors
in a sealed PVC tube, air it up to 36 PSI
and throw it in the trunk.
The TPMS system will be happy forever more.

That was going to be my post when I read this but you beat me to it with your next post. It often takes a trip or 2 for the TPMS to realize it's not getting a signal. Personally, I'd rip the darned system out. Other than reminding me when one of my SUV's has a spare with low pressure, it's a PITA. But that's just my 2 cents.
