Default rear axle help

So I have just recently bought a 2011 v6 mustang vert with 58100 miles and I have noticed a real whiny and some times grinding noise coming from the rear end and its only when I make turns I don't hear it any other time but then. I took it to supreme ford in Slidell la and they told me it could possible be the rear differential. I am not sure if its covered in warranty or not they did not tell me but I had to go pick it up as the person who does the rear ends will not be back until April 1. If its not covered should I just get a upgraded differential and and upgraded gears. I don't have anything done to the car yet except it came with a bbk throttle body everything else is stock. I plan on modding the engine with cai tuner and hopefully a turbo or supercharger in the next year or so. Should I just go ahead and upgrade the diff and gears and if so what gears and rear differential should I get?

..or even a wheel bearing. If it has a limited slip, it could need friction modifier.

the mustang is bone stock base model nothing done to it yet. I plan on putting the basics cai, turner, throttle body, full borla exhaust from headers, back, and hopefully in a year a turbo or superchager. I figure since I am already having problems with the rear diff I should just go ahead and get the 3.73 gears and thinking of getting the Ford Racing Traction - LOK Limited Slip Differential w/ Carbon Discs.
I will get my go pro out today and try to mount it under the car and see if I can get it making that noise and post it it only does it when I turn and only if I drive it for more then like 15 minutes. I drive to and from work and don't hear a sound but if I cruise around town you can start to hear it and it gets real bad.
