Default Airbag recall

I live in the Cincinnati, Oh area. No notification. Actually, the summers here are very warm and muggy-quite humid. Guess I will just have to pray mine doesn't go off and "shotgun" my wife and I.

That's all Ford is recalling at this time. Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and maybe a couple others.

Colorado is dry. I guess I keep my Takata's for a while and pray.
Yes the summers are very humid here. I checked to see if my VIN number was listed....it is not. Oh well, hopefully nothing bad will happen.

Same here. I think Ford is playing a dangerous game by not replacing a major safety item.
If something DOES happen, time to Lawyer up!

NHTSA is about to force Takata to recall every suspect inflator, regardless of where in the country the car is.

NHTSA identified the areas from which airbag inflators should be collected, AlloyPony. We approved a field service action at NHTSA's request to help the Agency gather and analyze certain airbag inflators. NHTSA believes that humidity is a contributing factor to this issue, so the Agency requested the action be limited to vehicles originally sold or currently registered in Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Since this is continuously evolving, be sure to check on yours every so often here, guys.

It’s because the customer satisfaction program is for affected specific vehicles that were either originally sold in, or are currently registered in Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, SonicGTC_05.

Oh, I wasn't complaining about! It's just interesting at the time of my service the car was still registered in Illinois and had IL tags on it!

Chill people, chill. Millions of airbags can't be replaced over night. Stop beating the lawsuit drum and call down.
