Welcome to MF. Did you make sure the drains are clear inside the cowl? The rubber drain fittings get clogged and water backs up and flows into the car. Water leaks are a known problem on this year, and there is a TSB for it.

Welcome to the forum bob77. Sorry you have the dreaded water leak. Do try to get it fixed before it reeks havoc on your electrical systems. If you do a search in the 2005-20014 Mustangs, you will come up with a number of threads on the subject, but like DRAGUL pointed out, most of the time it was caused by the drain plugs being blocked by debris or gunk. Good Luck to you!

Welcome bob77.

Does it by any chance look similar to this?

Or this?

If so that is the cowl that a few above suggested.

It is located here: (right in the center of the pic)

There are 2 front passenger side leaks; the one from the cowl is associated with the TSB and affects the 05's thru some 07's. It causes corrosion of the Smart Junction Box (SJB) and eventually results in all sorts of electrical gremlins. The other leak is associated with clogged cowl drain plugs. Water backs up into and thru the cabin air filter and leaks into the cabin but doesn't affect any electronics.

austinkli posted that picture, but I believe it is the drain plug. If it is full of gunk it will cause a leak that goes down to the smart box. It needs to drain properly. If it gets into the smart box it causes all kinds of electrical gremlins.

That is the drain plug that you will find underneath the hood. If you'd like, I could probably make a very quick video on how to get to that for you.
