Default 2014 v6 mods

hi, guys. I am new to the forum. I apologize if there are already 100 threads about this. I do not own a mustang but I am going to help a friend of mine out with his mustang. He wants the best performance mods he can get for <$1000. the car already has straight pipe exhaust. I'm thinking a tuner and CAI. what do you guys suggest? Thanks!

Tune and headers and gears. Might be a stretch for a grand but will really liven the car up.

Get a tune. That will make the biggest difference. Don't bother with a CAI. I have a CAI on my 2014 coupe with a Bama tune. My wife has a 2014 vert with a Bama tune and stock intake and you can't tell any difference in how they run.

Thanks for the help, guys. We'll definitely get a tune. I saw some larger aftermarket Throttle bodies? Would it be worth the money if I could get him to spend a little more $$$?

Since we are on the subject, I have the opportunity to trade a set of 4.10's for my performance pack 3.31's. The majority of my driving is city with 30 minute spurts of interstate about once a week. I would like to hear your thoughts, if any.

I would think if you are thinking about racing once in a while- HA , I would most definately make the trade, but gas mpg will not be good

the 4.10 will give you much improved acceleration. so your drives will be more fun, but like chopper said, your mpg would be worse.
