Question Purchased new stereo and now I need the dash/wires

Hello everyone

I just picked up two of these stereos for my brother and I for $98:
http://www.visions.ca/catalogue/cate...sku=BV9362BIBD

I was wondering which dash kit will work with my car? I have the base model with no features, it has manual seats and has the 4 basic speakers.

Can I use this one?

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...KIT-MUS01.html

Or do I need this one?

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...99-5823CH.html

Also none of these comes with the wiring harness for the factory speakers, does anyone know which one I will need for the basic system? I tried searching but its hard to find as a lot of people have the SYNC/NAV versions .

Thanks,
Raymond

Give me a picture of your dash, I need to see what model you have. Metra are good product, I used them for my double din in my pontiac.

There is so much extra that you have to purchase, I'm not sure that it matters a whole lot on which option. but if you want to keep any of your controls on your steering wheel you need to get modules (don't cost alot) but this is a HUGE project. I did it once in my g6 and it sucked....

I would honestly return your stuff and go with this.

but if you want to stick with your option you need to get these

T-Harness for the iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR Radio Replacement and Steering Wheel Interface module (Required and Sold Separately)

I was going to post something about buying a stereo from Crutchfield but after looking at the stereo ad I can see why you went with it... I bought a stereo from Crutchfield and they gave me the wiring kit and the dash kit with the stereo (bought one for my F150 also). It made it easy for my installs.

I'm in Canada, the crutchfield website is so limited for us and overpriced and the american one doesn't ship here.

Not sure what year your f150 is but what type of harness did you get and did you have the 4 speaker system?

Thanks for the help! The stereo I bought has a built-in steering wheel interface, I'm going to try and set it up first but I don't really use them.

That link you sent me seems kind of overpriced and will be even more after I pay custom fees and US conversion .

I got a 4 channel amp and a mono amp I'm going to run with my 4 speakers I bought. This stereo has 3 pre-outs which will work perfect!

I didn't realize that you were in Canada or that there was a different website. I apologize, lol. The harness came for a 4 speaker system, yes. They make it easy, gave me the wiring diagram, had it all ready to go watching TV and the actual install only took about 30 minutes.

I called sonicelectronix and they said I need this wiring kit:

Axxess XSVI-5520-NAV

I'm sure there might be other people out there that have changed there stereo here and bought a harness!
