Default Coolant Leak

I have a 2010 S197 V6 Mustang. I noticed 2 weeks ago that the temp started climbing and tonight I have coolant spraying on the driver side of the motor? Is it a hose, thermostat, head gasket?

how could anybody possibly tell you that without being there to look at it? take it in to have someone look at it, or pull up your sleeves and look at it yourself.

I'm going to "roll my sleeves up" in the morning, but I wanted to ask and see if anyone had similar problems and could give me some insight.

Very common problem on the 4.0. The thermostat housing splits and is the cause of 99.9% of the leaks as you described. There are lots of threads on it and the replacements is easy to do.

There is an aluminum replacement on Amazon, and a thread about it as well.

Thanks JimC! It was the thermostat housing. I took it to the local Ford dealership and got it fixed.

Next time DIY - easy fix. Takes about 30 min. If you want to fix it permanently, invest in the Al version.
