Water leak on the passenger side near the smart junction box. Usually this is caused by plugged up cowl drain holes. Flakey tail lights and dampness in the passenger floor board are the first signs of this problem.

At least you have a V6. V8 owners with cars made before January (Job 2) 2008 have a terrible time replacing the 2 piece spark plugs. They often break when being removed. Ford redesigned the cylinder heads to deal with this issue.
Definitely feeling the damp passenger floor, At first I thought it was a hole in the sub floor, but thank you for notifying me of that. This is my first car and first mustang. I'll get to replacing the upper strut mount as soon as I can and I'll fix that leak. Thank you so much for all your help.

Congrats on your first car. Mine was a '70 Mustang that I purchased with the help from my parents for $1,200 in 1976. I was 16. Had a blast replacing and upgrading components. Even repaired the AC in a HVAC class in high school. It was never a "perfect" car, but a great platform to learn a lot from.

Do some research, I think the BR3V-18183-C may be for 2011+. The part number may be BR3V-18183-B

Here is your TSB-07-18-2

https://latemodel.cachefly.net/downl...sb07-18-02.pdf

Most detailed info I found was here. I installed 4R3Z5025A Cross Member and (4) W711553-S440 Nuts on 05/21/2007 on my Pony.

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...clunking-noise
---------------------------------------

I confirm the part# 8R3Z-18183-B.
After I sent letters to the Ford Board of Directors, Ford Customer Service
and Bill Ford, Ford Engineer Ralph Arning sent my dealer the 8R3Z-18183-B.
Dealer replaced both struts also as they were both leaking.
Repair completed 6/5/07

I found this info in my THUNK file.
The new mount will look identical to your original except the mounting studs
a few mm's longer. The real change was to the compound of the rubber used
in the mount. The "chuckle" or "loose lumbar" was attributed to the radial
and axial rates on the mount. The new rubber compund corrects this issue
and thus corrects the loose lumbar noise from the front suspension. I've
compared the test graphs of the two mounts and there are drastic improvements
to both the static radial and the static axial rates for the new mount.

Edit: You may find this interesting. From my Thunk file.....
Also, although it's not necessary, adding the 4R3Z-5025-A X member brace will
help with the load put on the upper mount. This may explain why the convertibles
do not have this problem.

Hmmm...Soon after this the braces showed up on the hard tops.
I went with the CHE K brace.

From all the research I've done, I think cjponyparts has the latest and greatest fix with the GT500 strut mounts

"These Ford Racing Front Strut Mounts are the original equipment found on the 2011-2012 Shelby GT500 Track Pack option. They are a direct fit for the 2005-2010 V6 and GT Mustang as well as the 2007 to present model Shelby GT500. With the installation of aftermarket struts and springs, such as Ford Racing's 2005-2010 lowering springs and dampers, they will also fit the 2011-2014 V6, GT and Boss Mustangs."

Found the mounts on lmr (late model restoration) for about 40 per mount, going to replace both. Watched the video, thank you for that. Just gotta grab some larger Metric sockets and 2 hours of time. I appreciate all the research you've done for my problem. If I could pay you for your help I would lol. I picked up my pony for 2 grand from my aunt, she hadn't done much maintenance to her, replaced the fuel filter (it was OEM) never changed in the life of the car... needless to say it runs better now. Read the TSB on rough idle at 850 rpm and I was wondering if there was a fix to it? Possibly a vacuum line that is leaking not too sure.

You are so welcome. I just wanted to help and also know what to do for my 2007 should it ever clunck. Hopefully with only 849 miles (yes, I know, I'm crazy) after 9 years of being a garage queen, it will never have the clunking sound.

Let us know how the replacement goes.

To add to Buckshot Berry's list, if your electrics start doing weird stuff, it is not a gremlin, the alternator is getting ready to go out. If you have to replace it, buy one with a lifetime warranty. I have replaced two.

you could guess all day long on what it might be, but the simple fix is to take it to a front end shop and let them put it on the lift and check for anything that's worn out. keep it simple. You might think this sounds expensive, but after spending money and time on what you THINK

alrighty, well I did my research and found that if I do the strut mounts I might as well do the struts and so on. So I'm going to save some loot and put a ford racing pack on her with new sway bars, struts, and lowering springs. Furthermore I want to do an engine swap on her. The V6 isn't enough for me I'm thinking either 5.0 coyote or maybe a 5.4 not quite sure yet. Also going to put in a manual trans when I swap the motor. Any tips or places I could find these motors and transmissions?
