PedalMax Enhancer, or 87 octane tune?
I currently have a 2007 V6, and am looking into a PedalMax throttle enhancer to wake up the performance a bit. The one I have in mind is about $300, and by all accounts works well, so I have no doubts about whether it is ineffective. I've seen a couple threads saying it's better off to just get a full tune, since it's the same price. However, my understanding is that most of these tunes require 93 octane fuel, which I CANNOT afford to fuel my car with considering how much driving I do! So because of that, I'd have to go with an 87 octane tune. As for current mods, my car just has an Airaid CAI and Ford Racing dual exhaust, along with the "race" throttle body and exhaust tunes to make them work right.
So my question is this: Which of these is the way to go? I have a feeling that I'm better off with the PedalMax, or an 87 octane tune? I'm not expecting the tune to turn it into a sports car, but I've seen a lot of people say that the 87 octane tune is practically worthless. I just want to double check before investing that much money!

Better with a tune, the pedal "enhancer" will not give you much if anything.
If you don't want to go with 93 octane, then tell the tuner to give you a tune for 87 octane. You will get much more out of that for the money than you will get from the pedal enhancer toy.
