One Pice Drive-Shaft Question

I can get this for $100.00, and is supposed to work with V6 and V8. You can see
the pieces included. This was taken off a V8 with Manual Transmission. I have a
V6 with Auto trans.

When I go to sites that sell one-piece shafts, they indicate for V6 and V8, for
the same years. He says he has the flanges needed for V6 or V8, and is for
05-09.

I don't want to drive 5-hours for nothing. $100.00 is a steal, and he has an aluminum one
for $300. I can get them both for $350, but, really, nothing I want to play with...

Just wondering how the other flange gets attached to the shaft:

Wondering of that tail end comes off somehow, to put the other piece on for the
V6 auto flange at the diff.

Is that piece an adapter? Does the V6 have six bolts that would be used instead of four, or rather the auto trans instead of the manual? I mean I kind of doubt that actually but maybe the manufacturer would be able to help explain.

It's still a two piece shaft and has to be. That yoke has been around forever, Mostly light and medium duty trucks

The part with the Arrow pointing, is the slip-yoke, that moves in and out when you
go over bumps and put-holes. That's also why it has a grease fitting...

The piece I circled, with all the bolts, looks like what is at my differential, not a U-joint.

I just need to know if that will work with my V6 Auto... I don't know how the adapter
goes on to the rear of the shaft.

, It appears to me the flange you have circled gets bolted to the rear by looking at the counter sunk holes. Then bolt the driveshaft to it. Can't say for sure if it is for a v6 or not. With all those holes maybe it will fit both.

Yeah, he said the adapter bolts on to the shaft... So, the slip yoke part bolts to the transmission....

If I knew for sure it would work with my V6, I'd buy it, $100.00, and a drive, can't beat that...
Would cost me, at most, $40.00 in fuel. $135 he wanted, $100 he came down to, and
$350 for an aluminum one, AND that one...

I guess I won't get a confirmation on this, so, no trip to Ohio for me . I am not going to take
the chance that it won't fit. Can close the thread now, will ask somewhere else, see if I get
any conformation...

Yeah, what a surprise, sent the manufacturer an Email, and it has gone ignored.
