Help! Electrical Problems - Possible Water Leak.
#11
I think I found the problem, or a symptom of the problem.
Connections to the motor are melted and corroded (Pictures attached)
Obviously I need a new motor. But what do I do about the connector? Would I have to replace the whole cable? Or can I just buy a new connector and solder it to existing wires?

That wasn't the worst of it. This is.
I think the rubber drain failed and this motor was sitting in water. I replaced the motor and connector and things are back to normal.
Can someone comment why so many forums were talking about changing SJB when no signals from wiper switch goes through it?

1. Water leak on the passenger side that causes the SJB to fail
2. Cracked and leaking plastic thermostat housing on the 4.0 V6
3. Breaking two piece OEM spark plugs during removal on the 2005 to 2008 (Job 1) 4.6 V8
Other than those, our Pony's have had a great track record.
