the jba and gt-take offs (which are both true duals) sound much less ricey than the y-pipe mangaflow for the v6 (no offence maganaflow people)
GT Takeoffs dont have to be true duals, you can get the muff's and fab a driver side pipe with an X, which is the only GT Takeoff clip i'v heard which sounded amazing

What is the going rate for having true duals put on from just a single stock as far as price is concerned? I dont mind spending some, but if the sound of true duals aren't going to be that drastically different from a y-split, then I would like to compare prices.

The GT Takeoff setup that i'm aiming to do was done by Hammy, said it cost about 100 for the driver side GT pipe from he local ford place, $75 for the X pipe off ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magna...temZ7947893763 about 85 for the GT Muffs on Casco, and 140 for the shop to put it all together

sorry to steal the forum, but do you ever get a ricey sound from the true duals on the v6? cuz essentially the sound your getting out of each tube is just 3 cylinders...
I just installed JBA True Dual exhaust and it sounds pretty darn good. not ricey sound at all. im very happy with it. i was very concerned when deciding which exhaust to get cuz i didnt want any hint of riceyness at all so i listened to as many audio clips as i could and JBA sounded the beefiest on pc speakers so i knew it would sound pretty good in person. after i had em installed i was very pleased. they have a low mellow growl at idle and are not too loud at all. but then when u rev it, the beast comes out and it sounds like a muscle V8. ima get pics posted tommorrow and hopefully some audio. hadnt had time to do it yet. been busy with work and driving around los angeles pickin up ladies in my big bad chick magnet...hehehe.

I have a custom exhuast put togther buy a local muffler shop with flomaster mufflers and a custom h-pipe. I also have headers from mac performance which I guess some people have made some comments about, but I love them. It is by far the most agressive sounding V6 I have heard, either over the internet, or in person. I will post a sound clip in my next post.
