Default Raced an Acura RSX Type S

I was at starbucks and and acura RSX-S pulled up next to me. The next thing I know Im talking to the guy about our cars. We eventually decide to out and run from a roll. I got him by about a hood, but I'm actually really happy with my automatic for doing so well. The RSX was stock, and for the record the guy who owned it was a really cool person, and we ended up talking for a while.

Nice kill. Just think what you'll be able to do with some mods!

Good kill. The RSX Type S is on my list of kills too. Glad to know he was a good sport about it, I've met a few ricers that are cool.

socool9004,

You got beat for three reasons.

1. Close ratio six speed transmission.
2. Lower gear ratio.
3. Much higher revving engine.

The 2005 RSX-S has 210 horsepower but only 143 lb/ft. of torque and it makes it's peak power at 7800 rpm, which means he has to keep the revs really high to have any kind of performance. So despite the gearing and transmission it would probably not have performed as well in a 1/4 mile run.

makes sense seeing as how the 05 6ers are governed to 113. any one know what the true top speed is of theirs?

my freind's rsx can get into the mid to low 200s range
we are useless compared to these cars in highway races and other things that require high speeds
