Default V6 Dual Exhaust... yeah another one :O

Hey everyone! I'm new here, and this is my first post.

I recently got my 05 Mustang back in June as a graduation present. I'm not big into the technicals of cars or what not, but I'd like to get a dual-exhaust system on it.

I've been reading a few threads so far about the subject, and I'm not sure what to do exactly. I'm going to need an H- or Y-Pipe, some new mufflers (Like I said, I'm not sure), and a GT rear-bumper. I have no clue where to get these, and better yet, once I do, how to install them, or where to install them. lol

I'd apreciate all help given. Thanks!

EDIT: By the way, here's some photos of my baby: http://www.fd-studios.net/files/index.php?dir=My+Car%2F

Well your local muffler shop would have or could get all the exhaust parts, and you wouldnt need a GT bumper unless you wanted to. You could just have them notch your bumper now and pay them for it. They did mine and it turned out great, and a heck of a lot cheaper than a whole new bumper. My local shop had the Magnaflow kit which came with the X-pipe, tips, mufflers, and pipes and cost be about $550 including install.

Well, I was thinking about cutting it at first, but then I noticed that the cut for the one already there, somewhat "indents" in. If I were to cut it, would it "indent" as well?

What do you mean "indents in", it is really easy to cut if you wanted to do it yourself, however it would be hard if you waited till after the exhaust was done, so either do it yourself before the install, or have the shop do it. Im sure if you just make a trace of the already existing notch and just carry it over to the other side it would be fine. But let me know what you mean by indents.

It just kind of, bends inward.... Let me find a picture.

Here's one I found on the site. You see how the right hole goes in about half an inch, whereas, the left hole just kind of stops.

Also, what shops do most of the users here go to, to have their systems done?

I see what you mean know, that small of a detail wont be noticeable, the exhuast tip will hide it. But I took mine to my local muffler shop who does everything related to exhaust. They did a great job.

May I ask how you fixed it burdweiser?

Not that it matters that much anyway, but I decided to get a body kit, so it really won't matter if it's a plain cut, or a fixed one like yours.

Just need to figure out what kind of exhaust system I need now. :O

Oh, and how did you get that GT Grill on there? I know you can buy those online, but what about wiring and such?

EDIT: And the hood scoop is the default from Ford.

I had the muffler shop straighten out my mufflers for me, it was getting to be to hard to do it. With the bumper, I cut that myself. The fog light grille was a pain in the a$$ to do, if I had to do it again I would just get the front and rear bumpers from cascotech on ebay.
