My buddys 05 GT 5 speed went from 14.05 at 100.3 to 13.6 at 103.7 when he installed his XCal2 91 tune from VMP. It is definitely worth it in my opinion . That was with a pre set tune , i bet we can get a bit more horsepower after a couple of dyno runs and some adjustments...

Yeah, in reality it's just two different ways of doing the same thing, so it really comes down to which interface you like and how good the dealer support it. When I was in the market for a tuner I tried to find a comparison somewhere, but never could, so I ask around a bit and decided to give the XCal2 a try. I did like the fact that VMP specializes in V6 Mustangs, so that was a big factor in my decision. I have been very happy with it, but that's not to say the Predator wouldn't have done just as good a job.

There's another factor to consider: What do the performance shops in your area prefer to use? If you're in an area where every dyno shop is setup for SCT, buying a Pred might be a mistake even if it's otherwise a good unit. A few local phonecalls could save headaches later.

Your 0-60 will improved due to the higher hp and tq specially off idle where the torque managements limits the car the most and the improved shifts , the throtle response increases greatly.
I dont know about 05s and predators , but from my experience with 99-04 it is not the same thing. In the predator the degree of adjustment is very limited and it does not have the same results HPwise. Most of my friends with pred's ended up switching to SCT XCAL2. Ask around the majority of mustang owners in performance forums prefer SCT. Of couse Iam biased, both of my stangs run SCT,jeje.
