there are sound clips available on the forum about what the duals sound like on the v6 as well as lots of info about this subject... I know this is my second day on the forum but ive noticed this and if u look u shall find. lol..

The answer is that just about anything beside the stock exhaust (single or dual) will give you better sound and performace (a few HP's).

B/c of the firing order on the V6, there is no need to balance the flow coming out of the pipes like on a V8. Pick H or X and you will not see any difference in performance (unless one is a larger diameter).
But the H will sound better than an X most of the time (reduces the resonance of some of the pop you get too).
If you remove the cats, don't go larger than 2.5 inch (I would stick with 2.25) pipes for duals on a N/A V6 though or you may actually lose hp and tq (tq band will shift upwards a LOT, and car will be slower)
