Default Magnaflow Dual exhaust? H or X pipe?

i have a 2005 V6..i put the magnaflow dual exhaust....am wondering if i should go for the X or H pipe? i saw a few people have the H or the X pipe with tha magnaflow exhaust..so I was wondering what i should go with? I wouldn't mind going a little louder...Yes i know its no Gt.but its pretty loud for a V6. thanks

I have the same setup and I got an H pipe. It did make it a little louder. You do have to give it a little time to break in though. When I first had it install, it sounded like a bunch of angry bee's in a can. Now it is breaking in quit nicely. You can have a muffler shop do it for @ $100. I was really worried when I first had it installed, now it sounds really nice!

I believe H pipes are more for sound and X pipes generally add more HP. But, I could be wrong

well, concitering we have a 6- since this is the 6 section... i'd say go for the H. For high powered cars like the GT, there is a difference in piping style (X, or H) being H makes a better sound and X makes more power. However, this is not true for the V6 because of the engines firing pattern, either pipe will generate the same (or not noticably different) performance, however the H will make your car sound a bit more mean.

Whats a good H pipe to go with the magnaflow duals, I couldn't find one on thier website.

I think they only have the X pipe on the web site. You'll have to get a muffler shop to make one for you.
