yea so i am at the movies w/ my girlfriend when i come back 2 the car, start it and start making out w/ her then i go 2 put my lights on when i look at my driver side mirror and see a post it saying w/ the following on it..

we got 2 my car at 8:42....


so some guy hit and ran my car and my bumper is all scrapped and stuff.... being that it was a hit and run, am i entitled to a new bumper ??? or press charges to the hit and runner? i dunno what to do... i needed a new bumper anyway becuase when the people shipped my GT bumper they didnt package the corners and it was messed up.

you are definitly entitled to a new bumper which should be covered by their insurance

also, because it was a hit and run you can press charges on them (up to a year in prison)

this actually happened to my mom, and when she asked her lawyer what to do that is what he told her...she did not take him to court, but did have him replace her bumper and all the side panels of her car (because her car got scratched from some shopping cart at safeway...) and her windsheild (which was hit by a little pebble about a year back and she just got it filled)

so yeah, feel free to throw in what ever else you want to do with your car...i mean i am sure they rather buy you stuff then go to jail!

i dont think its a hit and run if the guy gave u his info. i think he just didnt want to wait around for you.

i think he meant that somebody else saw it happen and left them the info of the other car because normally no body would write a description of their own car, also in the note it said something like "this is the plate number of the guy who hit your car"

some people are just idiots...what was done to my mom's expedition was worth 15k...and if he left his info himself and just payed for the bumber like he should have it would have only costed him 3
