H Pipe, Pros and Cons?
I am looking to get an H pipe fabricated for my mustang and I was wondering what the pros and cons of getting one on the V6 is. I already have the dual magnaflows on my car.

The general rule is H for sound, X for performance. However, no one has proven a gain over the H with an X. My car is in the shop for the next 5 days for a slew of modifications (writes to come shortly), and one of them is a before and after dyno of the X pipe. So some time this week, I will be publishing dynos with the X.
But if a deeper sound is what you are after, you are on the right track.

I've got an JBA "H" set-up on my V6, and the pro is the sound. A nice deep throaty sound. The con is I didn't try anything else so I can't see how good it is over other set ups. Money well spent.

I emailed jba about switching my y-pipe to an h....

Don't worry about it. The Performance and sound are identical.....just a slightly different design.]
If Rygen's x-pipe yields 2 hp, an h-pipe might be about the same or less... a 0-2 hp increase.
I still think the h-pipe might be a little deeper in sound. But, with headers, I don't really mind... she snarls!
