X pipe dyno results

RE: X pipe dyno results
Yea I knew there wasn't a loss when converting to an x or H pipe, any true dual system with an x or h pipe is going to give better performance on any V'd motor like a V6 or V8 (meybe not by much but it is more) I just didn't have the proof. They wouldn't design the stuff for are car if it was going to give a loss. lol
I laugh cause everyone was so paraniod about going to dual's and loosing power. Loose smooze I knew it!! I just Knew it!!! I knew it did'nt hurt the car!! I just have'nt been around as long as you older folk out there so I kept quit till someone did a dyno. lol
Thanks again Ryan

No problem. I do think I am losing low end TQ with the X, but gaining it back on the top end...which is fine.

With any luck, the shop should be done with my GT bumper today - so I'll get the 2 1/4" system installed and go get a baseline dyno.

That might be to small of a pipe? Thats what I had on my Camaro 2.8L motor FI V6. The 4.0l v6 is bigger so I would imagine that would be to small But Im not a proffesinal so we'll see. I would go with 2 and a half in stead of 2 and a quarter piping. This will be interesting

Yeah, my gut tells me 2 1/2" - but I come from the big block world. I figure it'd be interesting for the group for somebody to do a full 2 1/4" dual system, just for comparison. I just dropped it off, so it will be done by the end of the day. I probably won't get on the dyno until the end of the month, though.

RE: X pipe dyno results
Ive got 2 1/4" duals, just cause the exaust shop recomended it for the v6. It cant hurt it because it comes with a single outlet from factory. Unless you've got power adders, i would say 2 1/2" would take away too much back pressure...because you do need some.
