Hello everyone, i have a question that im hoping someone out there can help me with. I am thinking about changing my 16" stock wheels and tires to a set of 17" bullet style stock wheels and tires. Can anyone tell me if i will need to have my speedometer re-calibrated, or adjusted in any way? I know changing wheele size usually requires this, but looking at the tires on the 17" rims, they appear to be a much lower profile than the 16" tires. I have not had the opprotunity to measure both wheels side by side to get total height. My thought is that perhaps this would have some effect on the swap. Anyone out there who can help me with this?

Should be a simple swap. If anything maybe --- maybe a 1/2 (half) mph differnce.. Go ahead and do it... I ordered mine from Saleen and waiting for them to be delivered [sm=bounceybounce.gif]

Just tracked mine, they're out on truck for delivery... Going on as soon as I'm off work, including front sway bar, probably both before I bother eating dinner.

LOL I know the feeling. I got to keep my snow tires on for another 2-3 weeks.... then put on the new 17's

I also just ordered a set of rims/ tires from saleen today also. What a deal! The ford dealership by me in Green Bay, Wi. have several sets of take offs also and wanted $850 for them. When I asked him if they would match saleen's pricing plus $100 more (shipping cost) he said ya right and hung up on me! Unfortunately were getting a foot of snow today so it will be a few weeks before i'll be able to use mine also. These stock tires and rims on my car now though are very good in winter weather.

I made the change from 16's to 17's, and I have not noticed any difference in the speedometer. At the time, I asked the same question here, and was told not to worry about it.

Those look very nice.
As long as you used the stock size tire 235/55-17, they have the same O.D. as the 215/65-16's, your speedo won't change.

One note for those ordering from Saleen, I spoke to them earlier to get my tracking #, and they mentioned they've gotten several calls from customers in a panic when a whole set of wheels/tires didn't show up.

Saleen in sending each wheel and tire in a seperate box. They may not show up on the same delivery.
