Default 05 Grill Removal

Can anyone help me with removing the front grill on my 05 V6? There are 9 snap tabs (or something) on the grill that I can't seem to "pop" out. It looks easy enough, but I'm afraid I'm going to break the tab locks. Any help will be much appreciated.

you wont break anything puts some muscle into it, When i did mine it was fairly easy. I replaced it with a billet grill upper and lower.

Thanks for the info from all of you who replied. I guess I'll "man up" and try to pry the tabs out with a flathead. I just hate trying to force it, but guess I'll do what I gotta do. I'll be installing the OEM Pony Package Grill form the Ford dealer. Thanks again, I'll let y'all know how it works out for me.

I also used a large flathead screwdriver to release the tabs on mine. Once you get the first one or two out, the rest pop out pretty easily.

You're gonna like the "pony grille" set-up. I've installed it in my 05 and have received a number of compliments from people on the street. A couple of guys said it reminded them of the 67-68 grille. Good luck on the project!

Thanks "Afixer"! I think the link you gave me will be extremly helpful. It didn't give much detail about the grill removal (which I think I'm straight on now anyway), but the wiring info is great. I'm new to the threads, just bought my stang not even two weeks ago, but I'm very glad to have found all of you hanging out here. Thanks again for the help! C-YA!
