Yes! And while I was driving trying to figure out what it was by pulling on the doors and stuff...my speed crept up and a cop pulled me over. IN A WORK ZONE! Can you say, double fines? He looked at me like I was crazy when I asked him if he could please pull up on the trunk real hard and see if it would open. It did and the STILL gave me a ticket. Oh well. It hasn't done that since..but has been real, real hard to open. I took off the springs and stretched them a little. It seemed to help with the trunk "popping" up better.

My car lives outside and my truck never opens on the first try with the key or the remote. It doesn't matter if it's cold or hot outside. On about the third try I hear the latch release but I still have to pry the truck open.

I've had problems with my trunk opening too...

I can hear it click, but when I pull up it's just stuck... however, if I first push down a little bit (not enough to relatch), and then up, I never have a problem...

I don't know if it forces the latch to open or what, but it works

I have had the problem where the trunk will not close or will suddenly start showing the trunk ajar message.

What has worked for me when it will not close correctly is to click the trunk open button on the fob, and then close it.

Does anyone know if Ford has a Service Bulletin on this?

ford's fix for this is to spray lube around the seal... they are convinced that the seal is sticking to the trunk and thats whats keeping it from releasing.

My theory! The springs lose their "spring" quickly. When I bought the car the trunk would pop open a little when i popped the trunk. Now it just releases and I have to pull it open, much easier to pull open now that I have put lube on it.. but annoying, since I dont want to snap my spoiler. And people without a spoiler... I feel bad.

yea.. i would be one of those peeps without a spoiler and it's a pain in the butt... my trunck gets stuck everytime i go and pop it open with the key fob.. i use to work at ford and that's their method in fixing everything.. a little spray here, little spray there!
