Default Exhaust- Good or Bad?

I've been reading all the threads about all the mods available for our V6 mustangs here on the forum and have been very impressed with the info available to all of us, every subscriber should be happy they found this site, I am.(Car going to dealer tomorrow thanks to info I found here about several nagging problems) I found tons of info on exhaust and looked at all the different mufflers and systems that the members have installed or tried, several have changed a couple of times and given the actual results that the dif. ones provided. I took all this info to 3 dif. muf shops this past Sat and after a few hard discussions, I ended up with 2 universial magnaflows(part # 14415), X-pipe and bumper cut for the 2 new chrome tips out the rear. The sound is great, I dont know if they helped or hurt my performance, but my car sounds a lot better, maybe because you can hear it now, I didnt want the GT take-offs myself because I still get the question WHY DIDN'T YOU BUY THE GT?. These mufflers are 4" round and 20" long so the muf. shop put them under the car, all you see from the rear or side is the 31/2" tips, they even painted the pipe at the back so you couldn't see it, if anybody has any performance info good or bad about these, I would like to know but I think because of the sound unless these things are robbing me of any stock HP, i'm gonna keep them, I definitly reccomend anybody looking for an upgrade to check these out, not too pricey for a quality job

If there's any performance lost, the trade-off for sound is more than worth it! If you could grab a sound clip of your exhaust, that'd be awesome. Have you noticed any "droning" with your X-pipe?

Congrats!

I do have a sound clip/video but can't get it to upload(mpeg file?). There is a slight drone at about 1400 rpms, the car has been at the dealer for a couple of days so havent been able to do anything with it, I plan on adding some more brackets at the mufflers to see if it will go away, its not too bad
