Default Called the shop to order my exhaust...

I don't know whether this is true or not, but does getting the JBA true dual exhaust system eliminate the catalytic converters? The guy at the shop told me it does, and that would mean that I can't get my car through inspection here in in NJ. If it's true, I'm going with my close second - the dual MRTs GT axle-backs and the JBA Cat4ward headers. I will get an H-pipe for it as well. Can anybody share their opinions on this? It'll be my first performance/sound mod ever...not counting the K&N air filter on my car.

Well, they call it a cat-back exhaust system for a reason... cats stay put.

I think dual MRT's with with h-pipe and JBA headers would sound bad ***!

I know, I think the guy was just looking at the wrong parts and thought that I would want the long tube headers or something.

I think that I might be better off with the MRTs anyway. NJ gets a lot of salt on the roads, and the JBAs aren't stainless like the MRTs are. Their 2-yr warranty doesn't make me feel much better. I love the sound of the JBAs, but I wouldn't feel so bad if I just have to replace an H-pipe for the MRTs rather than the whole set-up...plus the MRTs don't sound so bad either!

oh yeah, and I'll do my best to post some clips once this is finished!

Since the MRTs are an axleback system, I'm going to need an H-pipe. I could have something fabricated, but I agreed with the guy at the shop that it might be best to order one that was already made. It'll cost a little more, but it should be better in the long run. Does anybody know which would be a good one to get? Would a GT one work with it?
