If i'm correct the choice is simple. Supercharger for the track and Turbo for the strip. Isn't it that simple?
That doesn't make any sense.

Well its pretty simple, at the track the lag of a turbo isn't good so you need good psi through the band. ok easy enough, for the track you can overcome that lag by launching at higher RPMs and turbo makes more torque which the supercharger robs from the engine. are you with me, ok. We all know that they have their own drawbacks and thats just what i'm try n to point out.

Actually most people see it as the opposite of that. Twin screw superchargers make power right off of idle and therefore are usually considered better for the strip than turbos. Take a look at the serious drag racers you see at the strip and you will see many superchargers, but few turbos. In the more hardcore classes you'll see no turbos at all. But, for a street car where you're not making 1000+ HP, turbos and SCs are on more equal footing. A properly sized turbo will have virtually no lag.

As long as you are in your power band with a turbo you have instant power like a supercharger, there is no lag when your in your power band and racers stay in their powerband all throughout the track neway...

turbo is always the way to go period, your giving yourself essentially, in regards to the engine, free power, a supercharger robs some that it makes.... i love all 3 options (turbo, N2o, and the supercharger) but turbo is best, better gas mileage in prime conditions and GREAT power when you have a good size turbo, N20 is commonly more economical though, what you need to do is find a person with a turbo'd stang and one with a super'd stang and drive both and see what type of power YOU like. both ALOT different as well as n20 power. Best thing is to see for yourself.

your wrong about the turbo not robbing power.. just what do you tink the turbine does.. it acts as a baffle, (right at the headers!!! typically) there is a significant amount of powerloss because of this
