Default Good Paint place in Chicago NW suburbs

I'm looking to get my stripes painted on becuase of wear and tear on the vinyl - they are so incredibly scratched up. I need to find a good place at a resonsable price located in the North or Northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Hey Wcked sweet looking pony. I,ve actually been trying to answer your ? myself I,ve been looking all over the chi-town area for any kinda of shop that will do aftermarket work when I get my Stang for the stripes though I'd check out Maaco sounds kinda of cheesy but there is one in Palatine and when I called them they actually gave me a a good price they qutoed me something like 350 could have been more I honestly dont remember. Or maybe just call several differnet paint and body shops and shop around

There are a couple of places I can check out. My boyfriend's friend works in a body shop in Highland Park (I think). He said I needed to bring the car over to get an estimate. If he lets me and my boyfriend help in the wet sanding maybe it will be cheaper.
$350 sounds kind of too low. I want clearcoat over it and that probably is at least a grand. I don't know if Maaco clears for that price.
I also can find out where the owner of my Ford dealership got his convertable done. The shop may give me a good price because I know him.
Thanks for the info and if I find anything out I will let you know or post the info.
