What is the largest tire I can put on a 17x9 rim that will fit on the back of a stock 89 LX 5.0? Leaving the quad shock in place.

some fit 275's not problems

275s.....

But take the quads out with some fender rolling and 315s fit.

depends on the wheel, with mine I had to remove the quads to get the 275's to fit

Assuming your rims are equal width what do you plant up front?
